VINTAGE HTF 1958, 1966 UNITED FEATURE SYNDICATE MAGICIAN SNOOPY With CAPE – $125. Find it on eBay (affiliate link).
With collectibles, completeness is key! This Snoopy Magician Doll looks fine. He’s got his hat. He’s got his cape. What more could a magician possibly want? Props, of course. Snoopy is a Greeting Doll made by Determined Productions in 1979. Most greeting cards come with some way to convey a message to the giftee. Magician Snoopy said “For all those magical moments” with a playing card tag.
Determined Productions had a variety of Peanuts Greeting Dolls. Characters included Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Lucy and seven Snoopy personalities. They are best found in their original cellophane packaging. Without the packaging, the greeting card tag is almost always missing or damaged.
How much is a Snoopy Magician Doll worth?
If Snoopy were in mint condition and complete, I could see spending $15-25 on him. Without the greeting tag, I would prefer to be at around $5-12. Yes, they don’t come up often and are difficult to find. However, just because something is rare doesn’t mean people are willing to spend $125 on this rather than say, a 1969 Determined Productions Snoopy Astronaut Pocket Doll. Maybe there’s that one Snoopy-loving Magician who would pay oodles of cash for this, but most magician probably have better things to spend their earnings on.
