Vintage Peanuts Snoopy Dog House Transistor Radio 1958 – $90. Find it on eBay (affiliate links).
Tune in to radio Snoopy! If static is your thing, you’ll love these old AM radios. Personally, I haven’t had much luck getting regular stations to play on these old relics. Items like this Snoopy Doghouse Radio are best used as display pieces these days. If you’re really handy, you might be able to turn it into a Bluetooth speaker.
The Snoopy Doghouse Radio is fun and functional. Snoopy lifts off the top of the doghouse and becomes a handle for portability. Without that handle, this piece would be very clunky for a portable item. Originally, the Snoopy Doghouse Radio would have come in a graphic box depicting the portability feature. Another feature are the radio dial buttons, carefully concealed in the edge of the doghouse’s roof. The mid-1970’s Snoopy Doghouse Radio was made by Determined Productions, along with many other styles of Peanuts radios.
How much is a Snoopy Doghouse Radio worth?
Sad to say, but this old novelty radio is even more of a novelty today and probably won’t see a resurgence into the mainstream. I would expect to pick this model up for under $20. It’s in great shape and has its battery cover, which are great pluses in its favor for this used radio. With the original graphic box, I would expect to pay $30-45.
