Sometimes I have to take a step back when writing a “Snoopy Sanity Check”. Am I expecting too much of sellers? Is this item difficult to identify? Should it be obvious from the size and type of item this is that the seller should be able to make the leap to McDonald’s toy? There aren’t any clear markings on these McDonald’s Peanuts Happy Meal toys, other than the misleading copyright on this piece. What do we know about it? They’re farmers. There aren’t many Peanuts farmers items out there. A quick eBay search and the answer any seller would need is right there! The first Google Image for “Snoopy Farmer Toy” is from CollectPeanuts.com, a good source for help in identifying items.
Since, this seller didn’t do the research, I’ll have to share my knowledge. I remember getting the Snoopy toy in my Happy Meal when my Grandma took me to McDonald’s. It was truly a special moment to get the coveted Happy Meal! The Happy Meal didn’t start until 1979, putting the 1966 date way too early. If you take a close look at the packaging for the original Peanuts figures, you’ll find that the items were copyrighted in 1989 by McDonald’s. Each of the four figurines came with a wheeled cart and an item to carry. Also available were two toys for kids under three-years-old.

What should you pay for loose, incomplete McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys? One dollar a piece, go find them in our shop! Shameless plug aside, McDonald’s toys are widely collected, but they’re also widely available. If you want something a little more unique, look at purchasing the toys in the original bag, displaying the original Happy Meal boxes, or finding the even rarer marketing materials and displays. Common and loose McDonald’s toys should be bought for a nice display or getting kids started in collecting at a low price point.
