IDEAL Toys Snoopy Safari Gear Vintage Plush Figure Doll Peanuts – $100. Find it on eBay (affiliate links).
Dr. Livingstone, I presume? Snoopy may look like he’s been on safari. His long, khaki coat, his hard plastic hat, and his general unkempt appearance makes him look like he’s been through a jungle. However, the real jungle he’s been through is made of concrete. This vintage 1977 Snoopy Rag Doll from Ideal is really a reporter. His pen and paper have long been ripped out of his paw, but this Reporter Snoopy Rag Doll’s long trench coat, fedora hat and long pants are still present.
Ideal made a series of these 14″ tall rag dolls in the late 1970’s. Snoopy was also available as an astronaut, a greaser, a boxer, a magician, a rock star, tennis player and CB trucker.
How much is a Reporter Snoopy Rag Doll worth?
While these dolls can bring extraordinary prices on the collector’s market, this Reporter Snoopy Rag Doll is not one of them. He’s incomplete, plus not in the greatest condition. I would probably spend maybe $5-15 on this particular doll. If he was mint condition and in his original box, he might fetch $125-200. Without his box and in mint condition, $100 would be a little high, but possibly justifiable. I’d rather be at around $50-70 for one out of the box.
