Vintage Charlie Brown Peanuts Stuffed Animal Pillow from 1950’s – $49. Find it on eBay (affiliate links).
Usually, when you find Belle items and the seller doesn’t know who it is, they say it’s Snoopy’s girlfriend. This posting doesn’t have Snoopy, Belle, girlfriend, sister, or anything decent keywords that would help a Belle collector find this Belle Pillow Doll. Obviously, this isn’t from the 1950’s since Belle didn’t come on the scene until 1976.
Dolls like this weren’t factory manufactured. Instead, it was a cut-and-sew fabric panel. With some stuffing and thread, you have everything you need to make a doll. The instruction and the pattern were all printed on the fabric. Making a Belle Pillow Doll was as easy as cutting it out, sewing the edges, stuffing and closing up the hole.
How much is a Belle Pillow Doll worth?
Between the poor construction and the soiled fabric, I personally would pass on this one. She needs hand-washing, re-stuffing and re-sewing. With some patience, it shouldn’t be too hard to come up with one of these ready to be sewn. There’s plenty of people with unfinished craft projects waiting to for a new home. Personally, I like to collect vintage fabric panels in their un-used state for around $10-20. However, I won’t pass up a finished piece for around the same price.
