Aviva Vintage Snoopy Walker – $59.95. Find it on eBay (affiliate link).
Before batteries, toys moved through wind-up mechanisms. Just turn the little knob, and Snoopy will walk across a flat surface. These toys were frequently over-wound or the mechanism would break. Walkers were cheap toys meant to break eventually and be replaced. For many years, Snoopy, Belle and Woodstock wind-up walkers were available for kids to entertain themselves with. Snoopy had the most designs, posing as a football player a tennis player, a cowboy, in a tux, the Flying Ace and as Joe Cool. They came in a variety of package designs through the years. They started in box, but moved to blister cards.
How much is a Snoopy Joe Cool Wind-up Walker worth?
With all things collectible, condition is key. The blister card of this Snoopy Joe Cool Wind-up Walker seems intact, but shows evidence of warping, card folds and wear. I expect to pay around $8-15 for a Peanuts walker still on its blister card, depending on condition and rarity of the walker type. Generic Woodstock and Snoopy would be worth a little less than a costumed character or Belle.
