What I Love – I don’t know what Lucy’s driving, but that’s not a pink VW beetle or a pink corvette or a pink anything! It’s probably an orange doctor’s booth. It’s nice to see a girl toy that isn’t in the stereotypical girl color scheme and having to be traditionally cute. It’s got it’s own flair. There is another lot of these toys and Lucy is driving a race car. You go, girl! As a girl who asked for race cars instead of dolls as a child, this speaks to me.
Beyond Lucy, we have Charlie Brown and Woodstock driving more traditional car shapes. Unless you’re a collector of the whole Peanuts gang, these lots don’t have much to offer the strictly Snoopy fan. There’s just one race car with Snoopy. While I love Snoopy, I also love a bargain. The reality of the world is the non-animal members of Peanuts can be hard sells. Woodstock can sometimes be a dark horse and be just as popular as Snoopy, but sometimes he’s just as tricky. It’s hard to tell how this one will turn out.
