Big dreams are coming true! Spike travelled across the country to join my Peanuts collection. This 62″ stuffed animal comes with his original hat. He is literally an upscaled version of the more common 12″ Spike plush made by Determined Productions in 1982. This giant Spike plush doll did not have any licensed clothing available, so he is actually wearing human clothing. For the story of how I acquired Spike, join us on Patreon.
DIY Updates
Spike’s hat needs some work! Not only does it have a lot of spots, it could do with a little reshaping. The biggest problems are the two holes the top of his hat have. With some luck, my Mom and I will be able to patch it with Bo-nash (affiliate link). This will require some fabric to repair the hole by either repurposing a regular-size Spike hat, or a color match felt fabric. If you have a dilapidated old Spike hat that could be used for this purpose, reach out!
Spike’s elongated body means he’s not suited for sitting. His long, slim body leaves him with no bottom to sit down on. His posture is very awkward when he’s draped across a chair. I’m hoping to either find just the right chair for his short legs and long torso, or make him a giant doll stand.
