Watch the animations of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” spin by on this Zoetrope record. The animations are from the 1967 TV special and feature some favorite moments for fans like Snoopy and Lucy bobbing for apples, Charlie Brown getting a rock and Linus in the pumpkin patch. While listening to selections from the soundtrack, we’ll peek through vintage storybooks novelizing “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” The Random House features most of the original TV special, but leaves out one of my favorite scenes. Luckily, that scene is in the World Publishing Company book featuring Snoopy and his daring WWI escape as the Flying Ace. However, World Publishing Company also left out a bunch of iconic scenes from the original special.
