Snoopy Basket

I got so excited when I saw this Snoopy Wicker Basket! Why? Because I don’t know a thing about it. I love being surprised as a collector of over 25 years. Sometimes, you just never know what you’ll stumble upon! Find out where I found this Snoopy basket in our exclusive Patreon post.

Instead of giving you the answer this week on its background, let’s take a look at the clues. It’s not from 1958, we can gather that much. Since the Snoopy basket does still have that date on it, it’s probably pre-1994. Second, it’s at a US Army Base in Japan, which raises eyebrows. It’s says Another Determined Product by Ko????? & Co. I can’t read it, which would be a big help to determine if it is a Japanese market product. Based on the design, the Snoopy basket feels very early 1980’s to me. Wicker also feels very early 1980’s to me, but that’s from an American perspective. If this really is made for Japan, perhaps they have a larger window of Wicker Love.
