Peanuts Ferris Wheel Musical Bank

If you love the sound of money, you’ll love the Peanuts Ferris Wheel Musical Bank. Find out where this gem was found in our full Patreon post.

What I Love – Schmid made this musical bank in 1972. Drop a coin in the top to trigger the musical to play “Spinning wheel”. It’s a darling little number. The Schmid musical banks are some of my favorite pieces and I really must take some videos of them someday when I find them again.

Another fun feature of this musical is the characters. You’ve got your mainstays of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and a young Woodstock, with Franklin and Peppermint Patty thrown into the mix. I love how they twirl about in their colorful little seats as they spin round and round.

Finally, I wonder about the odd design choice of the mailbox graphic on the “doghouse”. It’s not exactly ferris wheel themed. What happened there? It’s still cute and I really only just noticed it now. We can’t un-notice it ever again. More mysteries to be left unsolved.
