We’re kicking it old school this week with a 1985 ASCII calendar featuring Peanuts and Snoopy computer art. If this is your sort of thing, even just to enjoy looking at, go see more of it’s wonderfulness. Find out where I found it on our Patreon post.
What I love about this – I was always amazed by these works of art created with computer symbols when I was a kid growing up in the 1980’s. When I was in high school many years later, I would create a photo mosaic of Snoopy using printed out drawings of Snoopy. Similar concept, different medium. I have a feeling my glue stick and ink jet paper was easier to put together than an ASCII image. I don’t really know, but I give credit to the people who took the time to make a fun calendar with Peanuts and Snoopy computer art. This calendar is a glimpse into the past of people learning just what a computer was capable of. Plus, they had some fun with it!
Let me know what you think! It’s a bit of a departure from the norm and I’d love to have your feedback. This made me laugh and immediately engaged me, so I hope you enjoyed it, too!
