Metlife Snoopy Plush from Determined Productions

I am ALWAYS on the look out for new variations of the classic Snoopy Plush from Determined Productions. The latest Snoopy to find his way into my collection sports a Metlife branded promotional red t-shirt. He’s definitely from after 1994 based on the lack of a copyright year on his tag, next to the United Feature Syndicate information.

Video Summary

Hello fellow Peanuts fans! Today’s deep dive is all about Determined Productions Snoopy dolls, which are particularly interesting because they represent some of the earliest Snoopy dolls ever created. These collectible figures hold a fascinating piece of pop culture history, and whether it’s a limited-time release or a nostalgic throwback, every find tells a story. If you’re passionate about Peanuts collectibles or vintage toys, you know that the details—like the specific tag or the packaging—can make all the difference in appreciating these beloved figures.

The sheer variety in these dolls is astounding! From the classic A&W root beer Snoopy to the fancy Macy’s and Bullock’s department store versions, these toys were clearly designed to promote partner collaborations. We reviewed some fantastic examples, including those from the “I Love My Library” Snoopy plush and the Snoopy’s Gym from A&W Root Beer, a testament to the ways Snoopy characters have integrated into everyday life. The history of these plushes is deeply rooted in licensing, showing how Determined Productions continued to produce quality dolls even as the market evolved. It’s exciting to see how some of these examples maintain that incredible, recognizable style, even when found decades later.

But the main highlight of the haul was a wonderful, never-before-seen variant: a MetLife Snoopy doll! These Determined Productions plushes are wonderful for collecting because they offer a clear snapshot of Snoopy’s merchandising history. Since the tag doesn’t include a date, we know this doll was made after 1994, which is a neat piece of detective work for any collector. It’s fascinating to see this continued dedication to the classic style years after the initial runs.
