Find out more about the “You Don’t Know Peanuts” Podcast
“You Don’t Know Peanuts” is the official Peanuts podcast! You should definitely give it a listen to hear about all the people who make Peanuts happen and stories from Peanuts fans. To give some visuals to this audio medium, I’ve dug out some treasures to help illustrate the episode titled “Snoopy in Style: From Comics to Catwalk.” In this episode they discuss Connie Boucher creating iconic Peanuts collectibles for her company, Determined Productions, and how that led to Snoopy becoming a model for fashion designers around the world.
While I might not be able to travel around the world to witness these gorgeous fashion creations, I can share my humble collection. We’ll look at early Determined Productions goods including a Lucy felt pennant banner, the Peanuts 1962 date book, the book “Happiness is a Warm Puppy” and the illusive 1968 Determined Productions Catalog. Then we’ll look at the Snoopy and Belle dolls used for the fashion exhibit, books featuring previous exhibits and the Levi’s Belle doll.
