While relocating the studio, I took a little break to explore a box of Peanuts mugs and glasses that had been sitting in my basement. The box was labeled something like “mugs and music boxes,” but inside I found a collection of vintage Snoopy and Peanuts drinkware, along with a few surprises. From a doughnut mug by Taylor International to hot cocoa mugs and other stoneware designs, this box had a fun mix of items from different eras. I even came across some vintage Peanuts paper towels from the 1990s, which brought back memories of how common character-themed kitchen items used to be.

The real finds were the vintage Peanuts mugs, including several pieces from Determined Productions, Applause, Joy Inc., and Anchor Hocking Fire King. I looked at Snoopy strike mugs, Snoopy skiing mugs, a 1976 Christmas mug featuring Peppermint Patty, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, and Linus, and a classic “You’re Away” Snoopy mug. There were also plastic vintage Peanuts mugs, a Kohl’s Snoopy and Linus mug from the 1990s, Beagle Scout Woodstock, and a Joe Cool “The Class of Cool” mug. Some of these pieces needed a good cleaning, but they were great examples of the variety of Peanuts collectibles made over the years.

This casual basement treasure hunt was a fun look at vintage Snoopy mugs and Peanuts kitchen collectibles hiding in my collection storage. I also found a few mystery pieces, including a melamine-style mug and a “Stepping Out” design where the maker was still unknown. Looking through these older mugs is a reminder of how many different Peanuts products were created, from everyday kitchenware to special character designs. Now it’s time to wash these mugs, get them organized, and find a place for these vintage Peanuts treasures.
