What I Love – Originals! If you’ve never seen one of these with an envelope, you probably wouldn’t know that envelopes were available. It’s rare to find this piece of the history. The suggestion for The Peanuts Philosophers Book series was to use them as you would a greeting card. Was the envelope sold separately, or did it automatically come with the book? I don’t know, so please let me know if you have more info.
Hallmark released the series in 1972. There was a box set with four different books featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus. They were successful enough to be translated into multiple languages, like Latin. Plus, there was also “More Peanuts Philosophers” book series also released in 1972.
