Deep Dive into Christmas Peanuts Advent Calendar Puzzles – Review
Christmas is the perfect time for puzzles, so I decided to try out two Peanuts Advent Calendar puzzles and see how they compare. The first is a Ceaco Advent Calendar featuring 11 ornament-shaped 100-piece puzzles and one 300-piece Christmas tree puzzle, while the second is the A Charlie Brown Christmas Advent Calendar from Aquarius with 24 small 50-piece jigsaw puzzles. I take a closer look at how each one is designed, how the pieces work, and what it is like to build these Peanuts holiday puzzles. Since I love puzzles, I decided to build them all at once instead of opening one each day like a traditional Advent calendar.
The Ceaco Peanuts Advent Calendar has a very cute cookie-themed design that matches other Peanuts holiday merchandise, but the small ornament-shaped puzzle pieces make it a bit more challenging. The pieces are tiny, and the unusual shapes can make it frustrating at times, especially for anyone who has difficulty handling small pieces. I also noticed that the puzzles use the same piece cut, which means pieces can be compared between puzzles if you need help figuring out where they go. The larger Christmas tree puzzle was easier to handle because the pieces were bigger, and I liked the way the tree was shaped. However, the ornaments do not actually fit onto the tree, and I noticed a few design differences, including an extra candy cane that was not shown clearly in the artwork.
The Aquarius A Charlie Brown Christmas Advent Calendar takes a different approach, with smaller daily puzzles featuring scenes from the classic holiday special and book. Each puzzle comes in its own numbered compartment with a resealable bag, which is a nice feature for storing the pieces. These 50-piece square puzzles were much quicker and easier to complete compared to the Ceaco ornament puzzles, making them a fun holiday activity that fits into a busy schedule. I also noticed a slight color difference between the puzzle artwork and the original A Charlie Brown Christmas book cover, but the classic Peanuts scenes still make this Advent calendar a fun collectible for the holiday season. Both puzzles have their strengths, depending on whether you want a more challenging building experience or a simple daily Christmas activity featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang.
