Many collectors are familiar with the five public Camp Snoopy glasses, but there is another much harder-to-find piece known as the sixth Camp Snoopy glass, or the manager’s glass. This special glass was not available to customers and was created specifically for McDonald’s managers or possibly store owners. Because it was never part of the regular promotion, it is rarely seen for sale and has become one of the most sought-after pieces in the Camp Snoopy glass collection.

The manager’s glass features a special message about the Camp Snoopy glasses promotion, including the words, “Good grief, McDonald Camp Snoopy glasses are coming” and a reminder to “Hurry, commit by March 15th, 1983.” The wording on the glass helps explain why it is different from the other five glasses. While the public glasses featured Peanuts characters, this one was an internal promotional item that was never widely distributed. Because so few are known to exist, collectors often consider it a major find and a highlight of any Camp Snoopy glass collection.

Finding one of these rare Camp Snoopy manager’s glasses was a matter of luck. After another collector asked about the glass, I started looking more closely at Camp Snoopy glass listings and discovered one auction that included the rare manager’s glass mixed in with five regular glasses. After watching the auction and placing a final bid, I was able to win the entire group for around $35. By selling the extra glasses, I was able to keep this rare piece for my collection at very little cost. It is a great reminder that collecting Peanuts memorabilia often involves patience, research, and sometimes a little bit of unexpected luck.
