Today, I’m taking a look at one of my favorite types of Snoopy collectibles: Le Sportsac Snoopy backpacks. These adorable bags have become a big part of my collection, starting with a smaller Snoopy backpack I found years ago. That first bag sparked my interest in collecting Snoopy backpacks from Le Sportsac, and when this larger puffer Snoopy backpack came out, I knew I wanted to add it to my collection. With its oversized Snoopy design, puffy ears, big nose pocket, and practical backpack features, it is a fun combination of character design and everyday use.

The newer Le Sportsac Snoopy backpack is much larger than the original smaller version, with enough space for items like a laptop, snacks, and everyday essentials. It features multiple pockets, sturdy zippers, reinforced handles, and thoughtful details that make it feel like a well-made bag. I compared it to a much less expensive Snoopy-inspired knockoff backpack to see how they measured up. While the knockoff had a similar idea, the differences were easy to spot, from the flatter ears and simplified face details to the lack of structure in Snoopy’s nose and the cheaper construction. The Le Sportsac version captures Snoopy’s look much better, with details that feel closer to the character fans know and love.

Beyond the appearance, the biggest difference between the two backpacks comes down to construction. The Le Sportsac Snoopy backpack uses stronger materials, better stitching, reinforced handles, and a more thoughtful design that helps it hold its shape over time. As someone who has sewn and constructed bags before, I noticed the differences in how the handles and seams were put together. While the price difference is significant, I think there is value in supporting companies that put time and effort into creating quality Peanuts products. For me, the real Le Sportsac Snoopy backpack is the clear winner and a fun addition to my Snoopy collection.
