Look back into the history of Peanuts with these press release and news article photographs. We’ll take a look through some memorable Peanuts television specials, moments with Charles Schulz and information on Peanuts memorabilia. These photos can be curiosities but also important clues as to how Peanuts was a part of culture in the past.
First, we’ll take a look at press releases for some Peanuts TV specials through the years including the debut of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Next, we’ll look at some newspaper photographs I bought for my collection. A 1971 photo from Alabama shows Snoopy fighting litter. Next, an animation still shows Frieda much larger than Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Someday, maybe we’ll figure out where this image is from! We’ll travel back to 1974 to see Snoopy and his wardrobe having their moment. Next, we’ll read about the continued popularity of the classic Snoopy phone. Finally, Charles Schulz dancing with can-can dancers and Snoopy at the opening of Knott’s Camp Snoopy.
