“Love” Snoopy Bulletin

All about the Love! Snoopy and the main Peanuts gang are all on this wonderful burlap bulletin board wall hanging. This “Love” Snoopy Bulletin was made in 1968 by Simon Simple. Find out where I found it and see more photos on the full Patreon post.

What I Love – In general, I love Simon Simple kitsch! However, this one is a little different from the run of the mill. First, it’s smaller. Not a big deal that it’s 12″ x 28″ compared to the 18″ x 36″, but enough to surprise me when I got mine in the post. Second, the image on this is a lot different from the other “Snoopy Bulletin” pieces. Others have a scene at the bottom with felt characters accenting the black line drawing of the environment. This one has little vignettes surrounding “LOVE” with a dancing felt Snoopy with felt “Love” balloons.

Was this design the first consumer version and its success led to the larger version with scenes? Did they make next versions larger so they could squeeze in the full “Bulletin Board”? I’ve no idea, but would love to know! I haven’t seen any other designs in this smaller size.
