Charlie Brown knows just how I feel. I grow ever weary of this enormous task. Is the the number of pieces? The tiny pieces of wayward grass? The super glue constantly stuck to my fingers? No. It’s one part logic and one part waiting. Waiting for issue 79. Wishing it was still five issues per box. Realizing this project is going to take about six months longer than it should have. What should be seven more months to go is more like thirteen.
Then, the logic. Why are we putting things together, only to take them apart? Why do some character pieces have nobs to keep them in place, while others don’t? Why am I doing cable management for cables that don’t stay in place? Will this tape hold long-term if it’s fallen off over the last few months? Was this box worth $65? So many questions, so few answers.
While I’m sure the final project will be lovely and grand, it’s times like this where it feels very cash-grab heavy and less about creating an experience for a customer. I can’t imagine how DeAgostini/FanHome get loyal customers. Perhaps their other sets are better put together from the pieces to the instructions.
Also, I am sick of the grass.
Anyway, Marbles joins Olaf and Spike in their roof nook and their lights all work. Charlie Brown sits alone, waiting for Lucy to invent psychiatric care and treat him for pantophobia. Oddly, the scene is named “Psychiatric Stand” which is not what any Peanuts fan in the English speaking world would call this booth.

The Updates
I am now missing Issue 79, which won’t come with the next box. However, I don’t know when the next box is going to come either.
