Starting in the late 1970’s through the 1980’s, Butterfly Originals created toys, bags, pinback buttons, magnets and office supplies featuring Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. The items are cute, colorful and reasonably priced, which appeals to many Collectors.
Butterfly Originals is best known for their tiny office supplies, especially mini colored pencils. Each pencil has a cute saying, such as “Green is apple tree.” The Minis are also easy on the budget, since they can usually be picked up for around $2-7 a piece and are easy to store. Completeness of the set, minimal use and overall condition should be a factor when deciding the value of a piece. The relative difficulty of using such tiny office supplies usually means the items are in very good to excellent condition when found.
