Get out your tiny turntable and get spinning with “He’s your Dog, Charlie Brown.” This book and record combo re-tell the classic 1968 TV special tale featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty. Snoopy’s been annoying all the neighborhood kids and Charlie Brown has to take responsibility for Snoopy’s antics. He sends his dog back to the Daisy Hill Puppy farm, with a quick stop at Peppermint Patty’s house. An over-night stay turns into a week-long getaway for Snoopy, the Flying Ace, as he imagines himself in Paris, much to Peppermint Patty’s annoyance. Charlie Brown grabs a leash to bring Snoopy home, but Snoopy rebels and returns to Peppermint Patty’s house. There, Snoopy needs to atone for his misdeeds by doing chores. Fed up with his treatment, he returns to Charlie Brown in the middle of the night and is welcomed back with open arms.
The real question is… if Peppermint Patty thinks Snoopy is a human kid, then why does she lock him in a shed at night? Also, why is she not more upset at putting a leash on Snoopy?
