We’re going on adventure with for issues 19-23 of the DeAgostini Snoopy & Friends Doghouse. Up into the mountains for Snoopy and the Beagle Scouts. Then a trip to the beach to take in the sun, sand and surf with Snoopy and Woodstock. Travel back in time to Snoopy’s first appearance, as Patty waters a flower tucked into Snoopy’s collar. Plus, are we finally done with the Daisy Hill Puppies?
The messes keep messing. More annoying grass and now we’re adding sand into the mix. As for challenges, the Patty scene’s base didn’t fit into the wall backdrop because the paint made the tabs too thick. Definitely a tricky fix if you’re not good at whittling with a craft knife. Plus, Patty’s water droplets instructions seemed a little obtuse to me. Maybe it’s because it’s the UK directions with millimeters. Maybe it’s just because I wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to be doing. I got there in the end.

The Feedback
White glue was used a lot for decorative elements in this. The seashore waves was supposed to have a bit of glue, plus Patty’s water droplets. I’m just not sure white glue is the best for these elements. It’s not clear. It’s not shiny. It just won’t give the illusion of wet water when dried. However, I also don’t have anything else on hand as an alternative. There’s just a lot of things I wish were included or could be bought as a separate pack to make sure I always had what I needed on hand.
I also feel like the added details to Woodstock’s nest came WAY too late. That scene is done and I DO NOT want bits of shaved pencil being dropped in that annoying grass. That’s asking for trouble! Also, I really don’t think it would look right? If anyone can even see it, that is! I really wish each scene was its own self-contained unit. That way any artistic upgrades could be mentioned at the appropriate time in the process.
Video Highlights
Building Snoopy’s Doghouse, Issues 19–23
In this episode, we dive into DeAgostini Box #6 of the Snoopy and Friends Doghouse collection, covering issues 19 through 23. From Beagle Scouts to beach scenes, there’s a lot of progress as we assemble more of Snoopy’s charming world, one tiny scene at a time.
- Issue 19: We start strong with Beagle Scout Snoopy and a mountain backdrop featuring Woodstocks in mid-hop.
- Issue 20–21: Patty joins the build with her watering can, plus a recreation of Snoopy’s first comic strip appearance. We also tackle some Daisy Hill Puppy scenes and flower-filled details.
- Issue 22: Things get sandy as Woodstock lounges at the beach and waves are added using white paint and toothpicks.
- Issue 23: Snoopy takes to the surf! We finish off the scene with a jumping Snoopy and a beach umbrella for Woodstock.
As always, there’s plenty of gluing, tweaking, and troubleshooting (including some drama with grass textures and broken hooks). The episode wraps up with some crafty experimentation—like adding paint to glue for water effects—and a quick look at how the scenes are stored while we wait for the big doghouse reveal. Stay tuned for Box #7!
