Beep! Beep! The Snoopy Playland by Aviva is open for business. Take a ride around the park in our latest “Snoopy Splurges” video. In this series, I’ll be taking a look at a specific Peanuts collectible, usually something new to my collection. Aviva produced the Snoopy Playland in 1978. Woodstock flies high above the playland above Snoopy’s Doghouse. Peppermint Patty is taking a turn on the tree swing. Lucy, Schroeder and Linus soar above the flowers on the ferris wheel. Charlie Brown keeps the turn-table running for Snoopy’s battery powered bus. Be sure to subscribe to our Youtube channel for notifications on the next Snoopy Splurges video.

No doubt the Snoopy Playland was created to compete with the Fisher-Price Little People. Child Guidance also created a variety of playsets with the Peanuts gang along the same lines. In modern times, the Memory Lane Peanuts action figures with their variety of accessories and the occasional scenery backdrops carries on this childhood tradition. On the market today, building brick sets, such as those made by Banbao, can give kids young and young at heart the ability to create wonderful worlds for the Peanuts gang.
