For two years, I’ve been wearing my Pair Eyewear with my Peanuts comic strip toppers. They change up the old routine and make it finally possible to have fashion and eyesight. It was so easy to pick my frame shape and color. The real difference is a little magnet in the outer top corners of the frames. GAME CHANGER FOR GLASSES
Picking glasses used to be so difficult. Every time I needed new frames, I’d stare at a wall filled with hundreds of eyeglasses. I’d stick my face into the mirror to see how each one looks on my face from far, far too close. Should I go with the funky red ones? If I get gold frames will my silver jewelry look out of place? This frame looks great on my face, but does it come in a color I like? They want how much for a bit of plastic and metal? In the end, I never went out of my comfort zone for eyeglasses since I’d have to wear them everyday for years. So boring!
However, with Pair eyewear, I can get funky, flirty, fun and fresh every day. No matter the occasion, I can have glasses that transform in moments using toppers. I can have the red toppers, the gold toppers, the silver toppers, no toppers, and, the best part, Peanuts toppers!
The other day, I went to an appointment. The receptionist had a graphic pair of glasses I couldn’t help recognizing. “Are those from Pair?” I asked. She had wondered the same about my glasses! We had a long chat about our favorite toppers. The other clients love to see what new topper she’s wearing!
A few things I've learned...

Dazzle with holographic and pearlescent. Cheer on your favorite MLB and NBA teams. Keep it basic with their classic colors. Plus, they have lots more toppers for licensed brands from Sesame Street to Harry Potter, and Star Wars to Marvel.
Sunglasses are a must! Not only to protect your eyes in the sun, but to look your Joe Coolest! If you want Snoopy sunglasses, you can just stack your toppers for the perfect look. I love how easy it is to just quickly swap my sunglasses. The quick on and off is a game changer for flea markets when I’m going in and out of the sun frequently. No waiting for lens color to change. No juggling two pairs of eyeglasses. Just a quick snap and I’m ready to go.
Magnets are great! Just pop those toppers on any steel surface to keep them where you need them! My seasonal toppers are on my magnetic memo board. My topper case is a metal watch box from the 1990s. I think there are lots of potential creative solutions to display and store toppers with magnets!
Careful now! The only time I have problems with the toppers is changing rooms or taking off a sweatshirt. Other than directly brushing against the toppers, I’ve never had any problems with them falling off.
Toppers? What Toppers? Toppers are light weight and don’t add a noticeable weight when wearing them. The only difference I notice is my frames going from clear to opaque, which I just get used to after a few minutes.
How are they after two years?
First and foremost, they’re just regular glasses. They fit fine. I didn’t need adjustments. I haven’t had any problems with scratching or cracking. Even if you only use the magnet feature once in a while, you’re getting a decent pair of glasses.
After two years, there’s obviously some wear and tear. Since the frames are clear and there’s a small crevice between the frames and lenses, there is some accumulated dirt, which is to be expected. It’s also a good sign that I should get my eyes checked again and a new prescription! Still, the clear frames look just as clear as the day they arrived and there’s no yellowing or fogging of the material.
As for the lenses, other than a few micro scratches, they look and work great still. No signs of the coating wearing off! All around, a great pair of eyeglasses.
Conclusion
Frankly, these are a godsend for anyone that has no choice but to wear glasses daily. Eyeglasses are so expensive and having multiple regular pairs is just not possible for most budgets. Plus, being able to have an inexpensive pair of stylish sunglasses in your exact prescription? Just what I need! I can get at least 10 toppers for what I’d likely pay for a single pair of prescription sunglasses.
I have bad eyesight and glasses are always expensive. I always have to get the extra upgrades on the lenses, not because I want to, but just so I can see. I finally have the option for glasses to express myself, not just a medical device. Plus, when I get a new pair of glasses, I can change up the frame’s color, yet still use the same toppers! What’s not to love?
