DIY Peanuts Paper Theater Kit – Snoopy Sports

After receiving this Ensky Paper Theater Kit in a Snoopy’s Gallery and Gift Shop mystery box, I was looking forward to making it! The kit contains laser-cut paper and wood, plus instructions on how to build. With my paper crafting glue, a pair of tweezers and an Exacto knife, I was ready to put these tiny details together.

Difficulty Level

Being from Japan, you might expect this kit to be difficult to decipher. However, the instructions are also in English, but I mostly went off of the photos. It’s more like Ikea instructions, which is fine by me. The pieces of the kit are labeled with numbers and letters to match up with the instructions.

If tiny pieces might be difficult for your eyes or fingers, then this might not be the project for you. The delicate details require patience and organization. Using the Exacto knife to snip the pieces from their surrounding substrate was definitely a must. When building, I found it helpful to stage where the pieces were going. This way I knew exactly where to be gluing and what way the pieces went round.

Overall, it was a lot of fun! It never got frustrating or overwhelming. Total time spent was about 45 minutes. This did include some videography and a non-optimized workspace with the instructions setup behind me. If you’re feeling inspired, I recommend checking out Plaza Japan for finding reasonably priced Japanese collectibles.
