Security is an Eye Patch

Welcome to our new video series called “Snoopy Splurges”! In this series, I’ll be taking a look at a specific Peanuts collectible, usually something new to my collection. Our first video features “Security is an Eye Patch” pamphlet from 1968. It features Peanuts comic strips featuring a Sally storyline on being diagnosed with Amblyopia, commonly called Lazy Eye. Be sure to subscribe to our Youtube channel for notifications on the next Snoopy Splurges video.

While the “Security is an Eye Patch” is an oddball collectible, the title is definitely a tie-in to the popular series of Peanuts books from Determined Productions that started with “Happiness is a Warm Puppy.” Charles Schulz and the Peanuts gang also helped promote the Johnny Horizon program from the Government of the Interior in 1972.
