If you find yourself in the Santa Rosa area, be sure to visit the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport and the Pacific Coast Air Museum. The airport has wonderful statues outside, perfect for a photo opportunity. There’s supposedly someplace inside to buy souvenirs, but we never found it. The Air Museum is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Weekends (don’t quote me). We happened to be there on the first Thursday of the month and enjoyed a lunch of hot dog, soda and chips for our $5 entrance fee, and ice cream for an extra $1. For the Snoopy lover, you’ll want to stop in the gift shop after looking for the Red Baron and Snoopy’s Doghouse on the grounds. For the Aviation buff, there’s a great museum indoors and lots of post-WWII planes and helicopters. View photos…
