Snoopy & Friends Doghouse – Ice Cream Parlor

Let’s hang out with our pals for issues 24-28 of the DeAgostini Snoopy & Friends Doghouse. Let’s stop in at the ice cream parlor for big cone of that cold, sweet treat. Then it’s time for to watch the world go by while leaning on the brick wall with Lucy, Charlie Brown and Linus. The Daisy Hill Puppies get their pillows. Plus, we install our first LED panel on the Snoopy Flying Ace box.

The Feedback

The only note I have that’s different from before: the ice cream parlor is clearly serving gelato, not ice cream. Ice cream comes in round tubs. Gelato comes in stainless steel pans. As an ice cream enthusiast, they are very different.

Building Snoopy’s Doghouse, Issues 19–23

In this episode, we start on box 7 of the DeAgostini Snoopy and Friends Doghouse series included everything needed to build several new scenes. Work began with the ice cream parlor, setting up the freezer display, adding bases, walls, and a bunting banner made from tiny stickers. Sally and Snoopy were added in with their ice cream cones, and the display came together with lots of careful dry-fitting then gluing.

The Daisy Hill Puppies got a small addition with the creation of their pillows. Small fabric pillows were stitched and filled, then tucked behind the puppies’ heads to complete their resting area. It was a simple step, but it added a cozy touch to the display.

The next scenes focused on Lucy, Charlie Brown, and Linus at the brick wall. Lucy’s background was assembled with clouds and walls, along with another round of messy grass application. Charlie Brown’s scene involved removing part of the grass to install the brick wall and tree, while Linus’s section added more bushes and a scattering of tiny paper leaves.

The Flying Ace scene also started to take shape with the installation of the LED light bar inside the doghouse roof. After securing it with screws, the box top was put into place, setting up the future display for Snoopy’s famous flying adventures.
