What a treat to see Snoopy the Astronaut as a bracelet! I have seen this same piece as a pin, but not a bracelet. To be fair, I’m not looking hard either. I love that this bracelet has its original box and its original tag. At $2.00, I would have loved to have stocked up. This piece is most likely from 1969 when Snoopy, and some real astronauts, went landed on the moon. NASA related space collectibles have sky-rocketed in price over the years. While Astronaut Snoopy is certainly well-connected to NASA, this piece doesn’t have that history. It’s fun, but cheap, costume jewelry.
The condition of this bracelet looks to be wonderful. My only concern is there is a clear lens that goes over Snoopy’s face. It’s hard to tell if that is present in the photos. If it’s missing, the buyer should re-consider how much the piece is worth.
How much is Snoopy Astronaut Jewelry by Aviva worth?
Just because this cheap jewelry was $2.00 back in the day, doesn’t mean it hasn’t gone up in value. Aviva bracelets are hard to come by. The space-themed subject matter of this bracelet is always popular. For most Aviva bracelets, I would be willing to pay around $20-30 for a mint to excellent condition bracelet. This bracelet though, I think could be worth even more at auction. $500 is definitely a stretch, but I could see paying $35-45 for this terrific Snoopy bracelet.
