Willitts Designs created collectible musicals, ornaments, bells, plates, figurines and home goods from the 1980’s through the early 1990’s. Their annual Christmas design would be released on a bell, plate, musical and ornament matching set. Many pieces were made for other holidays including Halloween, Easter, Mother’s Day and Birthdays. Willitts Designs also produced a number of collectible items for the 40th anniversary of Peanuts in 1990.
The small two-inch Peanuts figurines are one of the sought after pieces of the Willitts Designs catalog. There are four series: the Peanuts Christmas nativity series, the Peanuts baseball series, the Peanuts party series, and the Snoopy sports series. The full set of the nativity and baseball diamond can fetch prices over $200 at auction. Likewise, the 40th anniversary birthday cake musical with attached figures can also fetch high prices. Some figurines are also available as ornaments. The figures are fragile and should be checked for chips, breaks and repairs. Individual figurines and ornaments sell for $5-$15 depending on desirability, condition and if it has the box.
