Colorforms has released a new throwback version of the original 1972 Come Home, Snoopy! Colorforms Set. In this video, I’ll be showing you the differences between the original and the reproduction sets. Overall, the reproduction does a great job of keeping the overall aesthetic of the original, yet there are many subtle differences to ensure the reproduction is easily spotted by collectors. For instance, the Colorform pieces on the original have black details printed on a solid colored vinyl, while the reproduction has all colors printed on white vinyl.
Where to Buy
The new set is available online at a variety of retailers such as Amazon and Target. I was able to find my set in store at a local Target, but a few stores I went to didn’t have it. Lucy’s Winter Carnival has also been reproduced, but is harder to find. To find vintage sets, I recommend eBay. (affiliate links)
