Peanuts Treasury – Charlie Brown Go-Cart Racers

Charlie Brown Go-Cart Racers

Misty sent in this photo, saying “I have the set of peanut car train with Peanut kids and some doubles. I don’t know much about them i was kinda wanting to find out how much it is worth and how rare. I have tried doing my own research but can’t seem to find these toys.”

The “train” is actually part of the Charlie Brown Go-Cart Racers toy made by Child Guidance in the late 1970’s. The go-carts can be connected together, which accounts for why they might be mistaken for a train. The set originally included the four cars, plus removable figures of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and Snoopy. The set is made out of rubber advertised to withstand all child use. The set out of the box is worth an estimated $20-25, depending on actual condition.

Where do the extras come from? Child Guidance also made a Camp Kamp Play Set, Push and Play with the Peanuts Gang Play Set, and Schroeder’s Piano Toy which came with these figures.

Finding individual pieces may be difficult. The characters I had handy are only marked United Feature Syndicate and Hong Kong. Finding a set with the box would be much easier.
